BioEnergy Africa Limited is committed to conducting its business activities in accordance with international best-practice with respect to social, ethical and environmental issues, at all times. Land development undertaken by the company takes into account the main tenancy of biodiversity, protection of cultural heritage and customary land use and the capability of the land to sustain the proposed agricultural activities.

The Company aims to provide the global market with a renewable energy source to help alleviate reliance on non-renewable sources. This is viewed as a step towards reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production of non-renewable energy, and the consequential adverse effects on climate change.

BioEnergy Africa Limited intends to conduct its activities in an environmentally sustainable manner, with the aim of ensuring the benefits of producing sugar cane do not have adverse effects on natural resources or biodiversity in the region.

Furthermore, the Company is committed to the socio-economic development of its countries of operation. At peak production, BioEnergy Africa Limited expects to be a large employer within southern Africa and the Board will endeavour to ensure the benefits of its investments will be felt by the local community.
